In a lucid dream, he ended our conversation by commanding, “…that book you’ve been writing…finish it.”
“Yeah,” I challenged, “and what shall I title it?”
He didn’t respond. Tea for Two began playing on my internal jukebox and for days I was not able to mute it. Was my guide reinforcing that we learn through our relationships? In the dream he had stated, “Your work, your hobbies, your passions…they are only vehicles. What matters – the ultimate reason you are here – is relationships that you build with others.”
I considered naming it Tea for Two, but a friend suggested that the book is not about relationships as much as it is about learning to listen to the still, small voice.
I am an ordinary guy who has had non-ordinary experiences because of the people I have met. Read the Prelude story about Pete…you may discover that advice from a friend or something you experienced in a dream is a reply after you have called God’s cell phone number.

There is a vibratory code that is contained within my book God’s Cell Phone Number; you may sense it after reading several of the stories. If you will recall the statement about being “in the energy” in Story Fourteen, that’s a clue. You can call it a secret, if you choose, because reading the stories will help to put you in a frame of mind that will make it easier for you to make connection with your guides.
You might try a one-day experiment. The first step is to pay attention to your thoughts. If you feed negativity into your mind all day it will be difficult for you to receive an answer that has not been influenced by that negativity. Try to avoid people and entertainment programs that have a negative message on the day of your experiment. Being “in the energy” of an unpleasant person or watching several murder drama TV programs before you go to sleep will cause your dream symbols to reflect the feelings that you experienced.
Your physical environment is another consideration. The more isolated that you are from noise and the thought fields of high density living, the easier it is for you to receive a clear, undistorted dream signal. Thus, vacations to the mountains, the desert or the ocean can be a time of great insight.
Finally, read a few of the stories while playing one of my CDs, or similar music, as you are lying in bed and preparing for sleep. When you are comfortable, place your call by making a request or prayer for an answer to your question. Have a notepad or recorder on your nightstand to record your dream before it slips away. I have noticed that the act of note taking helps me to translate and clarify my guide’s message.
You can improve your dream reception by doing energy work to balance your field. I do it on myself with the toning meditation described on this site. Or, you could have a session with an energy worker, such as a Healing Touch practitioner, to assist you with clearing your field. Not only will energy work clarify your dreams, it will also relax you…and that is a huge benefit for those who find relaxing difficult to do.
So, the secret code to finding God’s cell phone number and then receiving an answer is to “get in the energy” or proper frame of mind. Then, ask your question and expect to receive an answer. By the way, don’t be surprised if your reply comes in an unexpected way!
