Currently I have the honor of being the official accordion therapist at John C. Lincoln Hospital - Deer Valley - in Phoenix, AZ. I volunteer for a few hours each Wednesday to play tunes that lift the spirit and bring joy to the patients and staff. I play a digital accordion that is basically a computer in the shape of an accordion. The sounds include orchestral ensembles in addition to accordion sounds from around the world. Listeners ask if I still need to move the bellows. The answer is yes because the combination of how I move the bellows and how hard I touch the keys and buttons allows me more creative expression than a traditional accordion.

Songs Made Up On A
Friday Afternoon
These improvised songs were recorded by plugging my Roland digital accordion directly into a recording program on the computer. There is no layering of sounds, so what you hear is exactly what I played without any editing. If you listen with headphones you will hear the nice effects and stereo separation on the accordion.
